Un vecino y amigo mío de hace muchos muchos años solía decir: “Si quieres un amigo, cómprate un perro”. Es cierto: siempre están ahí, a tu lado, pendientes, son relativamente obedientes, compensan las deficiencias emocionales con el resto de los humanos -familia incluida-, pero también requieren cierto compromiso y cuidados, y en Japón, son carísimos: el perrito de la foto alcanzaba la pequeña suma de 2.500 euros, pero había otro en la tiendas de marras de Shinsaibashi que llegaba a los 4.000.
